The Winterton family name has been synonymous with auctioneering in Staffordshire for seven generations since 1864.

From our early beginnings in the Smithfield livestock market in Lichfield, we have evolved and expanded whilst staying true to our family-run ethos.

Today, the company is run by Richard and Janet Winterton and handles regular general, specialist and fine art auctions together with bespoke house clearance, probate and valuation services.

Our meticulously-catalogued sales deal in anything from jewellery, watches and furniture to specialist items such as coins, medals, vintage toys, rare whisky and vehicles.

More than 4,000 bidders from all over the world take part in our auctions every month, which are broadcast online and achieve record-breaking selling rates.

Our comprehensive, bespoke clearance service for entire estates of all types and sizes is managed equally meticulously.
